Stroke & Coat glazes will fire to a gloss finish without clear glaze. We suggest 2 to 3 coats for opacity and all over coverage. One coat will create a translucent finish with subsequent coats increasing opacity. The ultimate "happy accident."ġ5 years later Stroke & Coat® has become our most popular glaze product and it is used in every ceramics market Hobby Ceramicraft serves. The glaze was frequently being used in ways the manufacturer had neither intended or anticipated, with spectalcular and consistent results. As users from various markets began using the glaze, it became clear this was a hugely versatile product. Mayco set out to develop a glaze that would almost "guarantee" a good fired result. The "heavy-duty" performance of the glaze was built-in as a feature for novice, young (school children) or new practitioners. Stroke & Coat was originally developed to be a cone 06 bisque glaze.
